Cardiff-based company Alpha and Yapps Garages has successfully completed an Employment Ownership Trust (EOT) in a deal advised on by GS Verde Group.

Initially two separate entities, South Wales based car business Yapps Garages, a Fiat dealer, was founded in 1924 by the Yapp family. Alpha Garages was founded in 1977, specialising in Alfa Romeo vehicles.

The merging of both companies, saw two businesses combine their appreciation of Italian cars to create a team which services and repairs cars along with supplying genuine parts for Fiat and Alfa Romeo cars.

The successful EOT will enable the company to invest in its long-term success by enabling the employees to become involved in the direct decision-making of the company's future and become shareholders in the business.
